Hi I've been looking at the fstoppers wedding DVD and was wondering if it would be a good purchase. Has anyone got it or had it and can rate it?

i have seen some previews on it. Frankly, i think the guys at fstoppers do a great job. from what i have seen it looks like they are going to do a god job on covering the basics and then some. So probably a great investment for people wanting to do this and do it the right way.
People that have a bunch of weddings under their belt, probably not such a great investment.

I watched through the entire DVD, and I have to say that it's actually helpful. I was reluctant at first, due to some bad experiences with other DVDs, but the fstoppers did a fantastic job.
I've been shooting for a couple years professionally, so I still have a lot more to learn. I picked up the DVD, and there were some great tips on posing that I got from the DVD. In my personal experience, I found that the most helpful parts of the DVD were the live-footage from their interactions with their clients, which is probably one of the most important things to be able to see. You can pick up lots of information just by seeing how they interact with the couples, especially for communicating, and posing. Also, they go over pretty extensively different lighting options that might best fit your style/workflow.

My fear is that the FSTOPPER video is too basic.

The DVD is actually really good.

I bought the course. It is over 40hours of content. I felt it was worth the price.

I think we should start a rental service for these DVD sets. It's not like we're going to watch them over and over.

I think there is so much free stuff on the web now that you do not need it. Check out YouTube and the B and H channel. Loads of stuff there. CreativeLive have stuff on now nearly weekly that you can view for free.
